Handling the challenges of cross-border estates
Human nature is such that it can be rather flattering to be asked to be someones executor and, perhaps also with the unworthy thought of the fees involved, it is tempting to accept the responsibility without too much thought. This is unwise at the best of times, and can be exceptionally so in the case of an international estate with possibly unforeseen (even unforeseeable) complexities.
